Shopafor is the first and only online social network gifting platform dedicated to help family and friends find the perfect gift for any occasion. The platform uses AI to understand the needs and wants of the gift recipient and to create a unique algorithm that significantly increases a gift giver’s likelihood of buying the perfect gift, this is especially effective for non-immediate family members or friends that we don’t interact with everyday.

One of our biggest challenges when starting the web project was creating the informational landing pages. We knew that the initial page had to grab a user’s attention and not be overly complicated when explaining all of Shopafors features. We spent a lot of time researching the information architecture and laying out all of the information in a way that spoke to user’s the best, we wanted to gain their understanding but most importantly we wanted to establish brand trust.
The web platform consists of various user flows; User Onboarding & Personalization, Creating a Registry, Connecting with friends and family, Adding gifts to registries, buying gifts from registries and much much more.
The overall web product took around 4-6 weeks to complete and over 70+ unique web pages were designed.
The mobile app was created as a companion app for users to enjoy all of Shopafors features on the go. The mobile application was designed shortly after the web platform was successfully launched in December 2019.
We designed the application in 2 weeks including over 30+ unique mobile screens which follow closely to the user flows laid out by the web platform.
